Many local clubs have a quarterly newsletter and/or a website to help members keep in touch with local club activities. This past year HCA SEC requested, and the HCA Board approved, a proposal which allows HCA recognized clubs to receive up to $500.00 in seed money for their specialties and free half page ads in the Hotline to promote their specialties.
The SEC has a column in the Hotline which highlights your specialty activities. The Hotline now has a column that deals with local club activities throughout the year. The Hotline is always looking for information, pictures, and activities from local clubs. However, it is important to note that your local club is responsible for providing these materials to the Hotline editor. The same is true for utilizing the free advertising space-it's your clubs responsibility to get the ads to the editor!
